Cigar UFO Recorded During Rain Storm In Appleton, Wisconsin On May 31, 2013, Similar to the Old 1870 Sighting.

Date of sighting: May 31, 2013
Location of sighting: Appleton, Wisconsin, USA

This sighting was caught by a guy who walked outside to his porch to have a look at the rain and noticed a long cigar shaped UFO in the clouds. No blimp would fly in that kind of weather...remember lighting usually strikes the highest targets.

Such cigar UFOs have been seen for thousands of years or more and recorded in photos since the 1800s.

This above photograph depicts a cloud formation over the summit of Mt. Washington in the Winter of 1870 - 1871 - along with a UFO! One can see a cigar shaped object. This could possibly be the earliest photograph of a UFO. The image is part of an antique stereoview. The description reads "SUMMIT Mt. Washington WINTER 1870-1871 Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1871, by CLOGH & KIMBALL, in the Office of the Librarian of Congress, at Washington." SCW

iam8bit Entertainment System to debut during E3,

The iam8bit collective has presented intersections of art and old-school gaming frequently over the last few years, and at an LA event during E3 this hand-built console will join the show. Designed "specifically with retro gaming in mind" and put together by artist Travis Chen, the iam8bit Entertainment System's hardware specs will be revealed at its public launch Friday night. The systems will be made available for purchase both in person and online, although price is still TBA just like the heavyweights from Microsoft and Sony. Is the promise of a retro gaming PC featuring some classic wood paneling not enough to draw you in? The exhibition also features work from more than 80 artists plus a real-life replica of Uncle Scrooge McDuck's money bin to celebrate Ducktales: Remastered. It's scheduled to run until June 30th, take a look after the break for the location and time.

Almost 80,000 people marooned

May 26, 2013

At least 80,000 people were marooned, as 80 villages were submerged in sea water due to deep convection over the Bay and full Moon. Coastal upazillas of Kutubdia, Moheshkhali and Teknaf were inundated by tidal surge, as tidal water started to raise since last morning.

According to sources, sea water level increased about two metres than the normal height due to influence of full Moon.

Teknaf upazilla parishad Chairman Shafiq Mia told reporters that 30 villages of his upazilla went under 2-3 feet tidal water since Thursday. Besides, another 30 villages of the Dhalghata union were also flooded by tidal water, the union’s Chairman Ahsan Ullah Bulu claimed, adding that sufferings of the marooned people were increasing day by day.

Meanwhile, 20 villages of Kutubdia were flooded due to broken embankment, alleged the upazilla’s Chairman ATM Nurul Bashar Chowdhury.

According to sources, worst tidal surge affected villages are: Jalia para, Side para, Khankar Dail, Sudar para, Dakkin Jalia para, Nazir para, Moulavi para, Mondal para, Panchhari para, Majer para, Dakkin para and Paschim para of Teknaf upazila.

Moreover, at least 300 dwelling houses, 150 shrimp farms and 400 acres of croplands and salt beds have gone under 2-4 feet tidal water, sources said.

Locals demanded immediate repair of the damaged embankments in Teknaf, Moheshkhali and Kutubdia upazilas.

On the other hand, heavy rainfall was continuing in Cox’s Bazar town, Teknaf, Moheshkhali, Kutubdia, Ramu upazilas and its adjoining areas since Friday mid-night. Cox’s Bazar met office recorded 79mm rainfall on Saturday.

Bangladesh Meteorological Department said in a special bulletin that deep convection is taking place over North Bay and adjoining areas of Bangladesh. Under its influence, squally weather may affect the North Bay, adjoining coastal areas of the country and maritime ports. Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar and Mongla have been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal number three.

All fishing boats and trawlers over the North Bay have been advised to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice.

Nintendo partners with Best Buy so you can play unreleased Wii U games in store during E3 (video)

Nintendo partners with Best Buy so you can play unreleased Wii U games in store during E3

There's nothing more frustrating than watching a product or service get announced, then having to wait an age to try it out. Nintendo hears that, and has announced via Nintendo Direct, that during E3 week, Best Buy will have playable demos of as-yet released Wii U games in 100 stores across the US and Canada. Given that no one was likely expecting any new hardware from the firm, it's clear the gaming stalwart is looking for other ways to stir-up some interest. There's no mention of titles, so we're left to assume they'd be the games announced at the show. Either way, scratch out that week in June to make sure you find out first hand. Scrub right to the end of the video past the break to see the announcement for yourself.
